XMFC HP xover: Patronus

Anyway! Decided to finally answer the age old question of what their Patronuses are. (I've been receiving this question in my ask Charles and Erik blog) I am unsure what compelled me to do such a detailed piece; probably my most detailed one so far. I usually hate doing backgrounds but this was a wonderful learning experience though I did not even use references because I was lazy D:

Anyway, I'm terrible at animals and the idea was just to draw them chibi with their patronus but then dementors were added and a background was added. It was crazy.

EDIT: Surprised people can tell Charles's patronus is a dolphin because I feel like I drew it like crap.
Also surprised how no one is squealing or is commenting about how it looks like they are holding hands.

EDIT 2: I suppose an explanation is in order since I've been explaining a lot in the comments. I don't want Charles's patronus to be a rat. It doesn't suit him very well and I did consider it for a while but after reading a bit about patronuses, a rat simply will not give Charles justice. And I'm sure a lot of you wanted it to be a rat solely because of the fandom's inside joke of Charles being a lab rat. And that's not a good enough reason for me since I'm taking this crossover quite seriously (I've got this plot in my head already. I just need the time to write and draw everything, really.)

Rats also have quite a negative reputation in the HP fanbase mostly because of Peter Pettigrew. I'd not want that connection at all.

A shark seemed utterly perfect for Erik, with the animal's aggression and apparent bloodlust and the way it is feared by people. And I seriously wanted their patronuses to be paired or at least linked. Thus, a dolphin came to mind; which was perfect because dolphins are peaceful, very intelligent creatures.
